Basic Sound
Basic Sound is a set of sculptural speakers and generative sound fragments, created in response to/composed from recordings of a large steel sculpture and the process of its fabrication by Harriet Sutcliffe (Hatton Gallery 2018).

Interactive sound sculpture made to compliment an installation of 4000+ sunflowers at Cragside House, 1/08/18 - 4/11/18 The self-contained piece runs on a solar power system and uses a Bela Mini for all the programming and sound processing. Kalimbo
This is an attempt at using collage techniques to create a streamlined performance ecology. After making the acoustic instrument, I was inspired by John Bowers et al's One Knob To Rule Them All conference/paper (particularly Jim Frize's Hyperpot) to extend it into a self-contained instrument/controller. This particular set-up produces mainly tonal and rhythmic sounds, but the OSC data coming from the arduino could be mapped to control anything you like in PD or Max etc.
